PostSubject: OFF EBAY NICE STORY BEHIND PICTURE   Fri Aug 25, 2017 8:44 pm

A Unique Look At The Beatles Fifty (50) Years Ago!

When I was 18, I happened to be in England visiting my father who was on
TDY duty in Manchester for the Army. A friend of mine lived in Prestwich,
a Manchester suburb. I met him and we went shopping so I could buy a
present for my younger brother back home. We were in this toy store
when low and behold who comes waltzing in but the Beatles!

I couldn't believe it! What the hell were they doing there? I found
out later that they were performing with Roy Orbison at the
Odeon Theater in Manchester that evening. Well, I walked
up to John Lennon as bold as could be and asked if I
could take their picture.

"Sure, why not?" he said, and called the group over. George
grabbed a large toy Panda off a shelf and that's how I
got this picture, with the group holding onto Panda
for dear life. They actually wound up buying it!

The photo was printed from the original negative. I took other pictures,
but this is the only one I had framed. It wound up hanging in my room
for years. There's a flaw in the negative that can be seen on the
blinds to the left of Paul. I think it adds character to the photo.

Unfortunately, the negative was lost in one of many moves over the
next few decades, but I still have the photo! It was taken over
50 years ago, yet it looks as good today as it did back then.
The photo and frame are in excellent,
almost like-new, condition.

I'm selling the photo because I'm not getting any younger, and I need to
downsize my collection of pictures and posters before the undertaker
does it for me. The photo is a bit pricey, but it's a bit of Beatles
history/memorabilia that's very rare!

[size=32][size=18]The high bidder will not be disappointed! Good luck, I wish
 you all winning bids.
